The Inspiration: We pretty much knew right away that we wanted a winter wedding. We got engaged in the winter and we are obsessed with the snow and thought it would be nice not to be in the heat in our nice outfits! Once we saw The Tett Center and how beautiful it was with the exposed limestone and the frozen lake we knew we would be getting married there. We agreed on grey and blue for our colours because we thought they were beautiful together and weren't to 'flashy', they looked like they belonged in the Tett center.

Moments to Remember: I think my favourite memories were walking down the aisle and dancing with my dad. We weren’t sure if he was going to be able to make it due to health concerns, so it meant the world that I got to share those moments with him. I think the photos really captured those emotions. And of course, seeing how handsome my groom was and sharing our vows is a close second haha. Fortunately, there were no hiccups ... or at least I didn't notice! I think even if there were any issues you can't let it ruin your day.

Sarah's advice: I will say deciding the size of the wedding was probably the hardest part because you never want to hurt anyone's feeling but at the end of the day you have to do what feels right!- if I could give any advice it would be this, stand up for what you want. Even if people decide not to go because of those choices- it just means those people weren't meant to be there. Also, if parents are helping pay for the wedding (which you should find out before making your budget!) it does not mean they can override your wishes. We ended up having an intimate wedding of approximately 40 people, which was so perfect for us.
Another piece of advice is to make decorations! My husband made so many things for the wedding and it saved a bunch of money. He made our arch way, our bar that alewife used, the back drop, centrepieces, and a few others!
