The Inspiration: I love all things blushy pink, gold and rose which was the overall inspo for the decor, flowers, and bridesmaids dresses - even my dress had a blush tone underneath! Having our wedding at Vimy made decorating easy because it is such a beautiful, open and airy space. You could have no decorations and it would already be perfect. We loved that we could have both our ceremony and reception in one location which is one of the many reasons that Vimy was perfect for us! We had a short ceremony which included our parents blessings, Hailey's faith, underneath two large trees on the Vimy grounds (having an outdoor wedding close to nature was important to Kevin!). Overall, the most important things to us were that we spend the day surrounded by our close family and friends and that we have FUN! (And we sure did!)
Moments to Remember: I have so many special memories from our wedding day! During our ceremony when we looked at each other and we both realized "this is actually happening!", when I surprised my dad with our father-daughter dance song (Foo Fighters- Learn to Fly), seeing my cousins all jamming out to the Spice Girls on the Dance Floor, and standing outside after the sun went down, looking at the lights glowing inside and realizing that all of these wonderful people are here in the same room to celebrate us...how cool is that!?
Hailey's Advice: Do anything and everything that you and your partner want! (Within reason of course). This is YOUR day to celebrate the love you have for each other! Don't be afraid to speak your mind if you were hoping to do something differently or a certain way, those around you want you to be happy, you are allowed to not love something. Don't be afraid to ASK FOR HELP! Wedding planning is a HUGE job and those closest to you want to help- there is no reason to take everything on yourself (even when you feel like you have to). Make sure you eat well in the days leading up to your wedding and the day of! I forgot to eat the day before which resulted in a major lack of food crash on my part! Have FUN! Weddings are supposed to be FUN! Don't get caught up in the details and stress of it all - have fun and embrace the love of those around you because that is what you will remember most at the end!
