The Inspiration: We live in California during the hockey season and on Brad's (my husband) off season we reside on Loughborough Lake, so we wanted to bring a bit of California back to the lake with us. Layers of earthy elements made up a big theme for our wedding and we stuck with a neutral colour scheme to blend in with the outdoor venue at my parent’s lake house.
Moments to Remember: One of my favourite memories from our wedding day was our first look. I met Brad at the end of the aisle underneath the circle arbor filled with flowers and overlooking the lake. Originally, we had discussed just having the photographer around during that moment, but in the bustle of things all of the workers and wedding party ended up seeing the whole thing! I will never forget the look on his face when he turned around and we saw each other for the first time on that special day.
Bryelle's Advice: Get a wedding planner! I was fortunate enough that my mother was our wedding planner and her and I worked closely to plan every detail, but I wouldn't have been able to do it without her or help! My advice for future brides is to make sure you take little moments in throughout the day and be present. The day can feel like somewhat of a blur and go by quickly so taking the time to appreciate each moment is very important! Also, enjoy the entire process leading up to your wedding day not just the actual day!
